Medical comorbidity in narcolepsy: findings from the burden of narcolepsy disease (BOND) study

• Medical claims were used to evaluate comorbidities in 9,312 narcolepsy subjects.• Comparisons were made using claims from a group of 46,559 matched controls.• All comorbidities studied were significantly more prevalent in narcolepsy patients.• The only exceptions were perinatal and pregnancy/childbirth-related comorbidities.• Anxiety and depression were the comorbidities with the greatest excess prevalence.
