How reliable are ear measurements as a measure of outcome after pinnaplasty? A prospective study of inter-rater reliability in 20 pinnaplasty patients

Abstract

There have been over 200 pinnaplasty techniques described in the literature since the procedure was first described in the 19th century1. Comparison between techniques remains difficult due to the many different ways that surgeons report their results. Ear measurements are a frequently reported outcome measure and are often used by authors to support the efficacy of a particular pinnaplasty technique.
