How reliable are ear measurements as a measure of outcome after pinnaplasty? A prospective study of inter-rater reliability in 20 pinnaplasty patients

Abstract

There have been over 200 pinnaplasty techniques described in the literature since the procedure was first described in the 19^th century¹. Comparison between techniques remains difficult due to the many different ways that surgeons report their results. Ear measurements are a frequently reported outcome measure and are often used by authors to support the efficacy of a particular pinnaplasty technique.
