Calcifying cystic odontogenic tumour (CCOT) is a cystic encapsulated tumour lined by odontogenic epithelium similar to the ameloblastoma's epithelium, containing ghost cells that may calcify [1,2]. CCOT is locally destructive, which contrasts with the aggressive behavior of the solid variant classified as a separate entity, the dentinogenic ghost cell tumour [1,3].
