Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) comprises a heterogenous spectrum of rare subepithelial blistering disorders affecting characteristic tissues throughout the body1. The prevalence is approximately 5/10,0002. Scarring is the clinical hallmark, but may not always be obvious3. MMP may affect mucosae, the cornea and the skin; and commonly affected sites include the oral cavity, eye, sinonasal cavity, and the genitals.
