Considering the survivorship care needs of head and neck cancer survivors

The American Cancer Society Head and Neck Cancer Survivorship Care Guideline was recently published in CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians. This synthesis of systematic literature review and consensus opinion from a multidisciplinary expert workgroup represents the fourth in a series of cancer site-specific adult post-treatment cancer survivorship care guidelines, with other guidelines addressing breast, colorectal, and prostate cancers. Designed to promote optimal health and quality of life, these guidelines help facilitate the delivery of high quality comprehensive clinical follow-up care by primary care and other clinicians who care for cancer survivors.
