Septic arthritis of the temporomandibular joint in a 10 year old: a case report and literature review.

Septic arthritis of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is extremely rare in the paediatric population, with only 9 cases reported in English literature. We report a case of septic TMJ in a 10-year-old female and review the literature for diagnostic criteria and management strategies.
