Parasomnia overlap disorder (POD) is the coexistence of non−rapid eye movement (NREM) parasomnia (eg, sleepwalking, confusional arousals) and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (RBD) in the same individual [1]. POD can be idiopathic or associated with conditions such as narcolepsy, Moebius syndrome, and brain structural lesions [1-5]. In contrast to idiopathic RBD, the risk of phenoconversion to a neurodegenerative disease is unknown in POD [5]. POD is rare, and only a few cases have been confirmed by video-polysomnography (VPSG).
